About
Ricky Baer is the Executive Director of Team Vunak, a U.S. Army Airborne veteran, martial artist, and senior instructor under Sifu Paul Vunak.
A practitioner of Rapid Assault Tactics (R.A.T.), close-quarters combat, street-oriented Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Ricky brings a practical, pressure-tested approach to self-defense and combat training. His instruction emphasizes simplicity, aggression, adaptability, and the ability to function under pressure.
Ricky’s mission is simple: - support Sifu Paul Vunak, preserve what Paul has built, and keep the training real. Through Team Vunak, he works alongside its instructors and students to carry these principles forward without losing the reality, intensity, and fighting spirit at the heart of the system.
